And he'll make the world a safer place—

“Just because they come from the same gene pool doesn’t mean they’re the same”— I always say about my own three kiddos. They may look alike, or have other similar qualities, but each one is distinctly unique. After photographing his older brother, Allen ('17), and his sister, Brooke ('20), I think the same can be said about Drew.

Being the youngest of three, Drew might follow in his sibling's footsteps by attending Christopher Newport University. He’s considering studying computer science and using his skills in the world of criminal justice. Maybe he’ll catch the next Pompompurin, MagicFX, Dark Dante, or stop the next worldwide cyberattack. It's exciting to think our cyber security will be in his hands :).

Which may explain why he loves action movies, video games, and Fantasy Football. And when he’s not in the virtual world, he’s using his mind and body to beat opponents to the newly-created Veritas Lacrosse team. And in the pro sports arena, he’s an avid Miami Dolphins fan (check out his hoodie in some of his photos).

Drew is pretty amazing: he’s easy-going, fun, loyal, joyful, and loves Jesus. He brings a smile to the faces around him with his quick wit and amusing sense of humor. He brings joy and life to whatever he’s doing. Unashamed, Drew contemplates the truths of Scripture and desires to understand more. He’s a pursuer! Quick to help and dependable, he’s solid with helping the Livestream productions at his church.

Drew’s spirit of determination has served his lacrosse team well, and pushes him to reach his goals. He’s tenacious—never giving up on what’s important—making him a force to be reckoned with as he pursues his career and his passions.

Congrats on being a senior, Drew! I can’t wait to see how the Lord is going to use your quiet compassion, quick wit, and determination to make the world a better, safer place—
