Brand Storytelling | The Crisis Coach
The Crisis Coach
The Challenge
Kate Flynn was launching her new business, The Crisis Coach, a highly personal brand serving executives and business owners navigating high-stakes situations. She needed more than professional headshots—she needed a versatile visual library that communicated credibility, strength and approachability, while feeling authentically like her.
The Approach
I developed the visual direction around themes of resilience and growth, beginning with how the images would ultimately be used across her website, LinkedIn, and social media. From there, I created the mood board, color direction, location and wardrobe strategy, props, production plan and detailed shot list. We then photographed the session in her home, where the environment could feel polished without feeling staged.
The Result
The resulting image library gave Kate a cohesive collection of portraits, working images, and environmental photographs that could flex across multiple formats and messages. The images continue to appear throughout The Crisis Coach website and in Kate's LinkedIn and Instagram content—sometimes standing alone and sometimes incorporated into designed social graphics.
01 | STRATEGY
Branding sessions are more than asking, "Where can we take pretty pictures?" They start with a deep dive into a client's visual needs, current branding standards, and their business goals.
02 | PLANNING
Shot planning was built around creating variety within a single visual system—portraiture, working images, details and negative-space compositions for multiple content needs.
03 | FINALS
Kate's final image gallery included a variety of poses, outfits, and settings—all created using just three rooms in her home.
04 | IN USE
Kate has used her images on LinkedIn posts and her profile picture, Instagram, and her website.
