Problem solved.

Anne had a problem—but it was a good problem: she was so good at her side-hustle, her clients didn’t realize she worked full time. Anne pours into her clients, finding the right products to build confidence. Because, as she says: “When you look better, you're more confident, so you show up better… in every area of life.”

When Anne and I first chatted on her discovery call, she hadn’t given much thought about what she was trying to accomplish. But my questionnaire got her thinking… and moving. She decided she wanted to be portrayed “as fun, friendly, caring, and trustworthy as well as a capable businesswoman/CEO.”

I dug into her brand and started my research and came up with three storylines for her shoot:

  1. Anne Outside of Work: exercising, eating healthy, friend/confidant, self-care, the listener, encourager, joy-bringer and confidence builder
  2. Anne the Successful Business Woman: dressed for success, with briefcase, laptop, etc
  3. Anne the Consultant: with her Rodan + Fields products, Red Aspen Nails; again, she’s a listener, encourager, joy-bringer, and confidence builder

Ann picked an amazing spot for her branding shoot: quaint, historic Ashland. We had lots of visual variety within a short radius. We started the shoot inside the Cross Brothers Grocery where you'll find a coffee shop and meat market—they were amazing and so accommodating! I highly recommend checking them out. Then we moved to the cafe tables outside and shot a healthy eating set. Grabbed ourselves a quick lunch break. From there, we crossed the street to the Ashland train station. Did you know trains run right down the middle of Main Street in Ashland? Literally! We finished our Ashland set at the walking trail down the street, then headed to Anne’s home in Mechanicsville for a few shots in her gorgeous home office.

It was an amazing shoot—and we got a lot out of it. I’m so very pleased with these images! And I can’t wait to see how they boost her brand!

Enjoy a few highlights from her branding session—
